BIGGEST Mystery in Aviation history: MH370

"Malaysia Airlines MH370 flight to

 Beijing vanishes"-BBC News,2014

Introduction:

The sudden disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 is one of the tremendous mysteries in aviation history. The flight was traveling form the capital of Malaysia,Kualalampur to Beijing. It was a Boeing-777 without any mechanical or technical problem.

How was MH370:

It was 9 years ago. The date was 8th March 2014, a Malaysian aircraft MH370 was ready to start its journey from the capital of Malaysia which is Kualalampur to the capital of China,Beijing. The total flight time was about 5 hours and 34 minutes. There were 2 Pilots,10 Cabin Crews and 227 passengers where most of the passengers were citizens of China. The pilot of the plane was Capt. Zaharie Ahmed Shah who was 53 years old and very experienced pilot of Malaysian Airline & the 1st officer of the flight was Fariq Abdul Hamid who was also enough experienced. It was a 11 years old boeing-777 and there was no mechanical or electrical issues. The flight had enough fuel to fly more than 7 hours, which was 2 hours more fuels for emergency situations.

How the Journey started and disappeared MH370:

The date was 8th March 2014, and the time was 12:42 AM. Flight MH370 take off from Kualalampur. Contacting the Kualalampur Control Tower pilot Zaharie moved forward to the South China Sea. After 20 minutes of flight,at 1:09 AM they reached the air zone of South Chins Sea and reported it to Kualalampur Air Traffic Control Tower. In that time the flight was 35000 feet above from the ground. At 1:19 the flight was about to enter in Vietnam Air Zone. So, the pilot contacted Kualalampur control room to report them. “Good Night.MAS370” which was the last message from the flight MH370.it was so certain that the flight must enter into the Vietnam Air Zone. But the shocking news is no flight did any contact with the Ho Chi Minh control tower which is in Vietnam. At 1:21AM the flight vanishes from the radars of both control towers. Ho Chi Minh control tower noticed that and immediately tries to contact with the captain. When they failed to contact the pilots, they informed the Kualalampur Control Tower. After 4 Hours, Kualalampur Control Tower, they communicated with rescue team which was too late.

Investigation and Rescue MH370:

At 6:32 AM, a search operation started in between Gulf of Thailand and South China Sea, where the flight disappeared.7 Countries,34 ships and 28 Aircraft joins the search operation, but they didn’t able to find the plane. After 4 days of searching the plane, on 12th March, shocking news came in front that at 1:21AM the flight lost connection with the civilian radar but tried to connect with military radar for more than an hour. From the information of Military Rader, the authority confirms that, flight MH370 turned back to Malaysia after 1:21AM. It crosses the Penang city of Malaysia and moved toward Indian Ocean at 2.22AM. After that it lost connection from both Rader.

Then the rescue team went to Indian Ocean but found nothing. After someday investigators came to know that, after losing connection from Rader the flight tried to connect with INMARST satellite and experts analyses the data from satellite and estimate a location. At 8:19AM, the flight was last located by the satellite in The 7th Arc which is 2000 Kilometer west from Australia on the Indian Ocean. Experts suspects that, due to lack of fuel, the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean. A deep sea search operation was also formed there at least to find the Blackbox but they also didn’t find anything. After 3 years, spending almost over 160 million $, the rescue operation ended. In July 2015, a Flaperon of the plane was found in the Island of REUINION and almost 27 parts of the plane already been found in total till date. After that, an American company named Ocean Infinity started another search operation with advanced technology. But unfortunately, they also failed to find something.

Rumors and Theories:

1.Suicidal attempt by the pilot Zaharie: Suspected movement of the plane by the pilot was main allegation against the pilot. After investigating the fact, investigators denied the rumor because Capt. Zaharie was very well experienced and he was physically and mentally fit. So, it seems that he didn’t do anything intentionally.

2.Hijacking: In the flight MH370, there were two Irani passengers who were travelling with fake passports. Investigators say that they were trying to settle in Europe. After going to China, they would be flying to Europe. They were suspected to hijack the plane but after checking their details by Interpol, investigators come to the decision that they cannot hijack the plane.

3.Cabin Depressurization: It says that passengers, crews and pilots fainted because of oxygen deficiency. The entire plane passed out and kept running on autopilot. There must have been some technical problems on autopilot. Then fuel of the plane ran out and the plane crashed into the Indian Ocean. It says that, when the plane entered the Vietnamese Airspace, the pilots noticed something wrong and wanted to come back. While they started flying towards Malaysia, there might be an accident happen which led to oxygen deficiency and everyone inside the plane fainted.

The new proof:

In 2022, a retired aerospace engineer, Richard Godfrey claims that he had found out where the plane .He did some calculations with the help of the reflection of Radio wave Technology which is known as WSPR and found the path of the aircraft.

He is so confident about his calculations and pinned a location in the 7th ARC, where investigators suspected the plane was crashed there.

Conclusion:

Technologies are advancing day by day. With the help of technology anything is possible to reveal. The Mistry of flight MH370 is still not revealed .The research about MH370 is still running. In this advanced era,It’s difficult but not impossible to know what actually happened the plane. So, we can expect that we may get to uncover the mystery about what might happen in MH370.
